PROF Kenneth G. Johnson earned his Ph. D. in diplomatic and military history from Florida State University in 2006. Specializing in the history of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars, his doctoral dissertation was a biography of Admiral Louis Thomas Villaret de Joyeuse, a prominent French admiral during the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. In addition to teaching at the United States Military Academy and Florida State University, Prof. Johnson has previously guest lectured for the Naval War College.
He has presented aspects of his research at the Society of Military History Conference and the Consortium on the Revolutionary Era, 1750-1850. He has also contributed articles to the Encyclopedia of the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars (ABC-CLIO, 2006) and United States at War: Understanding Conflict and Society online database (ABC-CLIO, 2006)
